Twile is more hyper than ever before at the hands of Ahundred the Wolfsatyr, and never has a Demi-Glenn been more stretchy, in not one but soon two full-color pictures. Normally I'd put in some fancy tile on the floor, but the perspective was difficult enough to pull off already. But I did put some cracks in to complicate the floor to make Twile's penis the primary negative space in the picture.

This started out as one of my pink-and-purple dusk pictures, but I couldn't make Glenn orange and yellow if those were the two colors left out of palette entirely. Here's the original version.

There should be a second picture at some point, but before I finish that I think I'll draw a good old-fashioned pin-up or two, I haven't drawn one of those since I stopped sucking.

Is Twile supposed to have wing claws? I noticed no one else who draws Twile does the hand-like wings, in fact no one seems to do them at all. Something that we've forgotten until recently, however, is that the Greeks and Romans didn't leave their architecture white, nor did they their statues and friezes. Paint doesn't last too long in the Mediterranean sun, though, and it was a good thousand years after the fall of the Roman empire before the Western world became interested in Classical architecture again. By then we'd forgotten, and most thought the old temples were always white. Some architects in the last few decades of the Revivalist period took advantage of the wondrous new discovery of terra cotta to recreate the colorful cornices of The Roman Empire, but the scourge of modern architecture had already begun to eat away at the national aesthetic, and pretty soon the public had a thorough disdain for anything and everything old.

Terra cotta is a wonderful clay, it's as strong as iron, completely and totally waterproof, completely and totally fireproof, able to withstand temperatures of one thousand degrees Celsius, can be sculpted into many exciting shapes to better decorate your building, and even be molded by extrusion for easy mass-production of trendy linear-art-deco ornament. It can be glazed in a rainbow of colors that never, ever fade even if left in the sun for a hundred years, it glistens in the rain, and if it rains enough it cleans itself. Terra cotta, of course, is very popular in Seattle and Portland, pretty much every building built here between 1890 and 1940 is covered in terra cotta tile, or occasionally steel-framed buildings have no conventional bricks at all, all the panel walls are made out of terra cotta bricks. Unfortunately like everything awesome, it went out of style, and the workshops that were able to churn out terra-cotta bricks and ornament at such little expense closed down, and now we have nothing.

I was a little upset earlier because this one didn't get noticed when I first posted it, but honestly if ever a picture of yours gets overlooked, it's because it's not in color.

So anyway, I finished this about a month ago and was going to post it after I posted some porn, but then I felt a sudden need for comments. So I'm posting it now. Well, it'll get comments on Fur Affinity, but I don't really get many comments here. And those that I do get are more the "the arm's too long" type rather than the "O.M.G. awesome" kind that I like. I rarely actually have anything in particular in mind when I start drawing something, so stuff like this happens.

So, listen, I know a lot of y'all love cars, and I love cars too, but I've getting emails. And I want y'all to appreciate, that when I draw a car I bear the right to draw it a little different than it actually is. There was one dude who honestly expected me to correct my last car picture, because I had put the side trim of the '60 model together with the grill of a '59. I liked that style better. He also said, "I'm shocked at you could of made such a mistake when clearly you were looking at a picture of the car when you drew it." Why that would mean I would have done it on purpose. Unthinkable.

What I'm doing now is trying to draw that at which I am not good. Putting people in cars is difficult. Right now I'm ignoring the fact that Koor is supposed to be almost a foot taller than Vermilion.

Anyway, so, yeah. I have no idea how this picture came to be what it is now. Most of my pictures are like that.

Yes, that thing off to the left is a streetcar. I went overboard. How unlike me.

I guess this is a public service announcement. Kids, don't drive high. It's really freaking annoying. I swear I get stuck behind a wake-and-bake retard every morning on the way to work. You'll notice it's inked and thoroughly cleaned, something I don't do anymore. People kept telling me they liked my clean lines, and I don't like clean lines. I got the pattern for the wall paper by putting one of my waistcoats on the scanner, and using the perspective tool to form it to the room.

That window actually goes somewhere, too. It's hasn't been bricked in by some mad mason yet. That particular style of window is very popular in Seattle. They're most common on our unique Victorian Four-Squares, which are very strange because they're Wrightian floorplans with Victorian and Revivalist detailing, on the west coast Victorian architecture remained in style for a good twenty years longer than it did on the east coast, causing it to mix with the new Prairie and Craftsman styles among the less-fashionable architects, in a way of which Frank Lloyd Wright would not have approved. The windows are very wide, sometimes wider than they are tall, the glazing bars are usually made of lead rather than wood, the upper sash is frequently much smaller than the lower one, and the lower sash is always blank.

Tagged as: architecture, red, architecturered Suspenders. by *ahundred http://www.furryartpile.com/view/31234/ Fri, 29 Feb 2008 03:35:17 -0800
Artist commentary
That's right! In this magical furry world of mine--the same one in which everyone wears a tie and drives an electric Studebaker--the digital and plantigrade coexist peacefully! They just have to use different tailors. I can't believe people have fights over this, you can have both.

The big yellow guy is Rookram, his species might change later. He's not very interesting, though. Jade seems to be your favorite, Koor seems to have a lot of lady fans which is good because he's the only straight one, and Vermilion is fun to draw. Y'all like Vermilion, right? I can draw him nude at some point. I should give y'all a nude Koor at some point too.

Alright, this picture is two things. Firstly, it's a study in wrinkles, a subject about which I found a helpful book. I haven't really drawn real wrinkly clothes before, so I thought I'd try it out. I was feeling good earlier because there aren't many furries what can do backgrounds, clothing is something furries really can't do. (Silver Fenrir is awesome at clothing, though.) And secondly, it's professing the superiority of suspenders. It's just a better way of keeping your slacks up. You just gotta tuck in your shirt. I know that sounds horribly uncomfortable, but you know, they used to do it all the time. And not just for church or anything, they did it everyday.

Koor's and Jade's wings change size depending on where I draw them.

B.T.W.: All you furry muscle guys, it really looks better if you don't draw an outline for every single muscle. You have to think about what shapes warrant an outline, a muscle is just a slight bulge under the skin with no abrupt change in depth, worthy of a stroke of highlight and a stroke of shading when you're coloring, but in plain line-art most of the muscles really don't create enough of a variation in the surface of the skin to get their own outlines. There are much sharper variations in depth that take place on clothing that y'all completely ignore.

You know, if I ever start doing a comic strip, (which is what I've been trying do for the last eight years,) y'all are going to have to live with inconsistencies in character designs. I drew Koor with one more wing finger than usual, (what the Hell are those called?) and I really have no intention of getting piercings and ear nicks figured out.

I have no idea when or why I decided Koor should have a mohawk. Come to think of it I'm not sure when I decided Vermilion should have four arms. In fact, I can't remember when I came up with those two, they've just always been around. I spend a lot of time in fantasy-land, whenever I'm bored, trying to get to sleep, or doing something that doesn't require all of my brain. That's why I have a dozen characters when I don't write and I don't R.P. I just play with them in my head all day long. Koor and Vermilion are the oldest, they've been around as long as I can remember. Of course, ten years ago they were completely different species and sizes and had completely different professions and personalities. Still the same characters in my mind, it's like the man who claimed to own George Washinton's axe, he only had to replace the head three times and the handle seven times.

LONGEST SYNOPSIS EVAR.

Tagged as: coyote, dragon, featured, gargoyle, suspenders, coyotedragonfeaturedgargoylesuspenders Ivory tinkle. by *ahundred http://www.furryartpile.com/view/31233/ Fri, 29 Feb 2008 03:14:09 -0800
Artist commentary
I was drawing hands, and I drew this hand on a piano keyboard. This was drawn a while ago, you can see the curly bits I draw aren't really as good as what I post now. I wasn't very good at curly bits yet. Originally I was going to refine the shading a great deal more, but I'm fine with sort of a hasty appearance now. It's easier to finish things before I get bored with them.

B.T.W., this is me trying to draw subsidence. All the buildings in which I've lived have been off-kilter in one manner or another, I've grown to like the slantiness. I feel uncomfortable around too many right angles. As he was trying out fursonas so he could join our furry world, he cycled through various black things. He was a black panther, a black wolf, a black rat, and a black horse, but it wasn't working for him. But then he took a look at the fantasy art around here and said, why are all the satyrs and centaurs white as lilies? And lo, sprang forth from his brain a unique new fursona and a way to preserve his blackitude while still being a furry.

Ah, and now here's a chance to really just wing it as far as anatomy goes. Nothing like this creature exists on the planet Earth. Mythical animal. So no one can tell me the anatomy's screwed up. (Won't stop anyone from trying.) And my anatomy books are so goddamn unhelpful. Every single etching is of some guy in the thinking man pose or about to throw a discus. It'd be great if I was trying to reproduce the Olympic games circa 350 A.D., but I'm trying to draw porn. Not a single position even close to a position someone might occupy while sexin' up. And also, seventy friggin' pictures of the human foot in various positions and from various angles, and four pictures of the chest. Four. W.T.F.?

I'm not sure I like this picture too much, like most furry illustrators the human faces I draw look pretty wooden, though I do try to stay in practice. And of course, I've never drawn a horse before, probably should have tried drawing a horse before drawing a centaur, and my nature stuff is so over-stylized, and the hands are a little small and I couldn't detail them too much because the paper was kind of raw because I'd erased so many times, and the eraser I got is starting to caramelize so instead of erasing it just leaves an indelible mark, and the horse part of him isn't very muscular because the photographs off of which I was working didn't feature very muscular horses and neither did the etchings in my anatomy book, and I don't really like the pose. Good for a first try, though, and if I really didn't like it I wouldn't be showing everyone.

One thing on which I have improved, however, is my ability to draw figures from different angles. Unfortunately that's not the sort of thing the viewer notices. Like, in the foxie-studebaker pic I totally drew the foxie from above, and I totally drew Horsedoctor from below. Crazy.

It turns out I'm physically incapable of drawing a non-whack-ass background.

Oh, and how does everyone like my horse cock? It's the first one I've ever drawn. Horsedoctor said that he sort of liked the idea of a centaur with the cock of a man, but I could draw whichever tickled my fancy. I chose horsie-style simply because I hadn't done it before, future pics may feature him with a human penis.)

Horsedoctor says: "I have an enormous penis."

I may post a shaded version of this at some point. Intersecting things is another thing illustrators tend to avoid, brings things together dimensionally, though.

Before you say anything, yes, I know I drew it as a right-hand-drive. It’s called an artistic liberty.

I really want to drive a car with a bubble windshield again. In America every car produced between 1955 and 1960 had one, then they decided they weren’t cool anymore and not a single car has been made with one since, with exception of the Imperial, (a defunct Chrysler Corporation marque,) which was produced with a bubble windshield right up until 1966.

One thing I noticed while drawing this car is how far back the front wheels are placed on modern cars, new cars have a very prominent front overhang compared to old cars.

Tagged as: buick, car, featured, hybrid, pose, vehicle buickcarfeaturedhybridposevehicle Untitled number zero in romanesque. by *ahundred http://www.furryartpile.com/view/28672/ Tue, 15 Jan 2008 23:29:36 -0800
Artist commentary
The symbolist in me loves bricked-in windows.

I'm not going to lie to you, I have no problem whatsoever drawing the same little thing over and over and over again until I fill the page. Of course, airstream trailers don't have stainless steel on the inside, but whomever designed this weird-ass bus thought that'd look real spiffy. And my first fetish hits you over the head like a club. This, is a twelve-foot-tall hyperphallic anthropomorphic black bird stuffing an enormous penis into a small, black, all-too-willing, stretchy wolf. This is my first step into some strange territory, people. I thought I might just go all out this time, draw the largest penis and the stretchiest little wolfie I could. There's much worse fetishes than hyper these days, (namely, yours,) so I suppose you'll retain your vision after gazing upon my latest abomination.

Everyone's always drawing these strange creatures with six foot penises, and yet never does anyone draw them doing anything with them. It's just pose, jerk off, pose, jerk off again, you know these guys want nothing more than to grab a fifty-five-gallon drum of water-based lubricant and set out to find the stretchiest foxie they can, (generally through trial and error.)

This stuff is easier to draw than it looks. You know, if I keep this up I'll be the one hyper pornographer around here what doesn't insist on sticking breasts on everyone. I know a lot of y'all are into herms, but frankly, as a gay man I just don't like breasts that much. And when they're on what is otherwise a perfect specimen of the male species, I just think, there are breasts in the way of my pecs. I wanted to fondle some enormous pecs this evening but there are some breasts in the way.

Why is the big guy a bird? Well, I thought that I, as his creator, might bestow upon him a bit of mercy, wings will make it much easier for this schlub to schlep around that enormous schlong. Plus I like drawing bird wings, (it's all zig-zags, done in a snap,) and feathery furs don't get the hyperphallic treatment as much as your standard woofs and horsies. Gyrphons are sexy, but plain ol' birds don't get nearly the light they should. I know next to nothing about birds, so I just drew something what I thought looked good and made it black. I gave him normal feet because I couldn't get talons to look right. I am loving this musclebird thing, though. I'll do more.

This is going to be the last thing that gets noticed, but I tried to do the shading all subtle-like on this picture. My super-high-contrast dodge/burn magic has it's place, but I've really been coveting Stray Dog's smooth and subtle shading and highlights recently.

Why black? Well, black's a respectable color. And I tried every other combination of colors conceivable and everything looked dumb.

Oh, and Zombiecat, you are responsible for this. Your hypersex inspired me to create my own.

Tagged as: bird, feathers, featured, hyper, mature, muscle, wings, wolf, gay, male, crow, bulge, hypersex, stretchy birdfeathersfeaturedhypermaturemusclewingswolfgaymalecrowbulgehypersexstretchy Meat. by *ahundred http://www.furryartpile.com/view/28668/ Tue, 15 Jan 2008 23:19:15 -0800
Artist commentary
Meat.

Tagged as: meat, puma, tie, waistcoat, wolf, meatpumatiewaistcoatwolf If it ain't Baroque don't fix it. by *ahundred http://www.furryartpile.com/view/28667/ Tue, 15 Jan 2008 23:17:18 -0800
Artist commentary
Yeah.

Tagged as: architecture, buildings, city, detail, featured, architecturebuildingscitydetailfeatured Jade in the cellar. by *ahundred http://www.furryartpile.com/view/28666/ Tue, 15 Jan 2008 23:11:38 -0800
Artist commentary
Yeah, I know.
