I sketched this up in my high school English class in 2002. I had to clean it up severely. There were a lot of smudge marks, because this was basically just sitting unprotected in my sketch book for the last five years. I probably could do better than this now, but I was very impressed with it at the time. I figured it would be decent enough to post here, to hold you guys over until I post some of the really nice projects I'm currently working on. Marked mature for copious amounts of blood. I haven't come up with a name for him yet, and I'll probably change him a little before I've settled on a final idea. You'll have to forgive the terrible anatomy. I rarely draw figures, and I didn't use any references for the body at all. I really do need to get better with anatomy though, and I figure the best way to do so is to just practice as often as I can. I did however use some photos of lions as a reference for the head. The character will most likely have a relatively complex background story which I have yet to really work on, but what I can tell you is that he will be involved with <a href="http://www.furryartpile.com/user/smokeforears/" class="userlink">smokeforears</a>' character Veryn, and <a href="http://www.furryartpile.com/view/19281/" rel="nofollow">this lovely lady(?)</a>. It's sort of a joint project between the two of us. Expect cleaner, higher quality art of this guy and other characters in the future. It's pretty sketchy, and I think the leg and arm could have been better, especially concerning how the hydraulics were integrated with everything. I really need to get better at drawing hydraulic systems. If you can't tell, I was going for a nuclear power plant sort of feel sticking out of the back. The intestines and the arm were really fun to draw as well. Oh and big thanks to <a href="http://www.furryartpile.com/user/smokeforears/" class="userlink">smokeforears</a> for adding some color while I went into the kitchen to make her some oatmeal. I think this took about an hour. I'm quite pleased with it. We recently set up my old 65 gallon fish tank in the living room so that <a href="http://www.furryartpile.com/user/smokeforears/" class="userlink">smokeforears</a> could put her frog (Butters) and her turtle (Blathers) into a bigger home. They really seem to enjoy it so far. I've been watching Blathers a lot, and I decided to draw a turtle, only in my own special way. Butters will probably inspire me to draw some sort of frog-type thing soon, so keep an eye out for that. I'm not quite sure what's going on here, I just kind of let things flow. I got a little lazy on the legs, but overall I'm pretty content with how this piece turned out. Enjoy.
