Original in Illustrator was lost when my hard drive went south, taking my every flippin&#039; art project I had done up to that point with it. Although I learned a valuable lesson (like backing up art in at least three places), I was so p.o.-ed that I quit drawing for a few months... First I gotta draw the lineart in Illustrator... I always start with a nude, because it&#039;s good practice and it gives me more time to think about how I want to dress the character. Then I&#039;ve got to redraw it about a zillion times until I even half way like what I drew... Next it&#039;s time to play with the lineart beziers (like I&#039;m doing here) for a few days, while trying to make sure that all of the lines meet and I don&#039;t have a two-pixel-wide hole where color can escape when I get to that stage. Then it&#039;s fumble around with the line width and more fun with the beziers. Next come the clothes (if any)!!!! Then and only then is it off to Photoshop for coloring (but that&#039;s a story for another time and place)... Oh, and there&#039;s that work thing...<br /><br />Enough whining out of me, but, if I seem slow in posting things, now you know why!!!<br /><br />Here&#039;s the start of an Achika pic I am working on... I draw the head, hands and feet on different layers sp that I can change their angle and size without a whole bunch of drama... Done in 2004 right after I got back from Japan (BG was a pic I took from the bridge leading to the main gate at Tokyo Disney). I was still trying to find a personal style and the lines were yucky. Kinda liked the t-shirt though, since one of the things I saw frequently in Japan were young women (and men) wearing t-shirts that contained seemingly random words in English. I doubt the wearers knew what their t-shirts said, but I guess they thought it was kewl... Prolly the same thing they were thinking of me, since I was wearing a t-shirt that said &quot;Respect the Emperor&quot; in kanji... I&#039;m a Horse, so, according to the horoscopes I&#039;ve read, I get along (with effort) with Boars, so meh... Anyway, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could do an anthro boar or pig, never having done one before.
