I asked her what she wanted, she asked for her vixen Nioka, with 'a rocket launcher, or something'. I haven't done much colorwork lately, but with the color combinations, and contrasts I could do, I had too. Her fur and the BG are MS 'Paint', the rest is colored pencils, automatic pencil, and Sharpies, with minimal digital cleanup. Well, here ya go, Leeandra! Boston hasn't been hit - yet. She went to her job at Boston General, 11 blocks away. Markus stayed home, and did his job, writing. Now, a few hours later, the city has gone mad, as news filters in, about New York, and a list of other places being hit by nuclear, chemical, and biological strikes. People went nuts, scrambling to escape the city, and the ones who didn't, are looting and rioting. He tried to call, but all the lines are down, and cell service is gone as well. Buses and taxis aren't running. Walking was the only option, and a hundred yards from their apartment, he was in the midst of a swirling, frightened mob of looting, rioting, panicking people. Somebody punched him in the eye, as he fought his way clear of the mob, and who or what slashed him through his jacket is a mystery. The cut isn't as bad as it looks, bled a lot though. Now, he's in an alley, mostly blocked by a bus. The Remington, he took from a dead police officer. He filled the left pocket of his jacket with shotgun shells, from a box he found in the cruiser. Luckily, he knows a bit about guns, from research in his novels. Time to put it to the test. . . . 11 blocks. 11 blocks of looters, crazies, and maddened, frightened people, clawing to escape from a city that may be obliterated at any moment . . . " Nadya is at Boston General. 11 blocks from here. Get there, get her, get out of Boston. That's the plan." She said, 'Make him look badass.' I think I did so. One song that I listened to while working on this was 'Hero', by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott. Mostly the one line from the chorus resonated with this one, as it does with a lot of my work, when I draw a civilian in a combat/survival situation- ' . . . Love that flick, for so many reasons. One of his character Stone's guns, is a .450 Magnum revolver, and I decided if that was good for critter killin', then a double would be better. *Grins.* Soooo, I designed the 'Stone Special', a massive, twin-barreled, twin-cylindered revolver. It's double action, with a single, linked hammer, and a single trigger, that operates both cylinders and the double-hammer. The cylinder latch, is in the middle, and operates both cylinders. The lower-left is a split image, showing the front and rear of the gun. This is the sorta thing Thistle would absolutely *love* . . . Check Six, DireWolf505. It's a 8-shot .357 Magnum, using a titanium-vanadium steel alloy cylinder. It uses a specialized cylinder, that allows it to use most 9mm/.38/.357 ammo, without moon-clips, using spring-loaded claws, in the extractor star. It's double action, and has a lower rail for lasers/lights, and upper rails for scopes. It's ported, and there is a weight under the barrel, for controllability. It has an adjustable rear sight, with tritium 'glow in the dark' inserts, and a tritium inserted front blade. Check Six, DireWolf505. Her name is Hyun, and she's a Grizzly Bear. She's the armorer/weapons tech for the gleaner Pack outside of the ruins of Dallas/Fort Worth. I jokingly refer to her as the 'Zen armorer', due to her extremely laid back, calm to the point of coma attitude. She moves with a fluidity, and always has a slight smile, as her default expression. Her hair is pale blue, short with a long, thin braid. Eyes are a deep aquamarine color. She's 7 foot 2 or 3, and weighs in at around 300 pounds, mostly muscle. Introducing Rho Haze, the cybernetically-enhanced vixen. Part of the same military program that created Alpha Burn, ( <a href="http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1132987/)" rel="nofollow">http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1132987/)</a> she is a much more advanced type. Unlike Alpha Burn, she is not primarily a combat model, but is more designed for infiltration, espionage, and 'wet work'. History: Original Name: Terrilyn Matthews Terrilyn Matthews was a U.S.Ranger team member, a counter-sniper. On an operation she was pinned under the wreckage of a light truck, and had to be left behind, on orders by high command. She was basically uninjured, and was able to eventually work herself free. But, before she could get herself free, she heard her entire unit engage, and be annihilated to the last man by a superior force. She had no choice but return to the LZ, and await pickup. After that mission, she was shuffled from team to team, not fitting in, as most troops considered her bad luck, and shunned her. When she found out about the cybernetic enhancement program, and what they were doing, she immediately volunteered. The operation was very risky, and carried a very high chance of death, but she went ahead anyway. The programs surgeons removed her brain, and spinal cord, and placed it into and armored casing, and built the rest of her new body around that. After several months of training to adapt her to her new body, she was cleared for operations. Her record was impeccable, gathering intelligence, getting close up 'eyes on' information, and removing threats. When the program was canceled, she got grabbed by the NSA, who wanted her for a special program. No 'wet work', nothing seriously dangerous. They wanted her to be the assistant to a certain scientist, known for his brilliance, and for his odd plans and designs. She was upgraded, and given a few new skill software chips, to make her new mission easier. Now: She's a laboratory assistant, a companion, and a bodyguard. Her massive internal database, and ability to access the internet wirelessly make her a treasure trove of information, and skill. Her combat-honed skills, and modular weaponry make her a guardian without peer, in a lethal or non-lethal capacity. Her warm, if aloof personality, and enhanced sexuality make her a superb companion. Also, she's starting to like this guy. A little crazy, sure, but he's smart, and fun. Equipment: Her chassis is made of a blend of titanium steel, and advanced alloys, and other materials. Her outer covering is cloned flesh and fur, with the fur having the added ability of full color-shift, changing her hair color, eye color, fur color/s and markings at will. The length of her hair, and size of her breasts is adjustable. She can see into the infrared spectrum, and can also use echolocation. Her eyes are able to do a zoom of up to 30X for ranged targets, and 500X, for close up items. Any modular weapons are able to be linked into her ocular circuit, allowing extremely accurate fire. Her body is able to withstand gunfire of up to 7.62mm armor-piercing, at a range of 10 feet. She is invulnerable to any pistol caliber weapon available, and fireproof, and waterproof. She is shielded and hardened against EMP and microwave energy. Her arms are modular, allowing her to replace them with a variety of attachments, scientific and military. Her standard armament is an internally-mounted .40 caliber, with a 30 round helical feed magazine, inside her left forearm. It can be fed through external magazines, and is able to fire single, three-round burst, and fully automatic fire, with a cyclic rate of 750 RPM. And, now, about the illo. Rho, caught as her eyes shift color. She's at some government function, keeping an eye on her principal, waiting until he finishes speaking to some official. " These things are boring. Nobody says anything meaningful, and so far, nobody's taken a shot at my scientist, at any of them. I would have gone with a full 'standard' look, but I know there's a certain Colonel at this party, that absolutely loathes the fact I'm a cyborg. So, I decided to wear one of my older combat arms, with a few dings, and a bit of covering missing. He saw me. I think he almost bit a piece out of his wine glass." There you go, Insanity! The unexpected result of a bit of genetic experimentation on plant life, and a test-lab bunny, with a tendency to escape her cage . . . She was found in the basement of the Ag Sciences Building, at the University, by a young recent graduate, who had decided to continue as a professor. Upon checking the basement, for the rabbit who kept escaping, he found her. Sort of. She was now a little under 5 feet tall minus ears, and rather . . . Well. He decided that this was not going to end well, if he let the others in the lab find her, and smuggled her out in the middle of the night, to his home. He learned of her severe allergy to sunlight the hard way, and after that, she preferred to stay in the basement, only venturing out to eat from his greenhouse, after dark. He studied her, and found her front teeth had changed, becoming longer, thinner, and sharper. Very similar to fangs, in fact. He observed her eating, and saw she didn't chew, or nibble. She bit, and drank the juices. He found she'd accept vegetable juice with gusto. He put it all together . . . After several months, he had successfully taught her to a grade-school level of basics, and she was learning on her own, as well. His co-workers thought it odd, that he no longer joined them, for drinks, or partying, just spending his free time at home . . . Well, folks, meet Ksenia, the vegetarian vampire rabbit. She's fun-loving, and very cute. Loves movies, TV, video games, and reading. Loves vegetables, and veggie juice. Not a big fan of the sun, as it can kill her. I'll be tryin' again, at some point. Basically, after the first strikes, and the massive panic, things got hairy. Amethyst was a member of the Helena, Montana police S.W.A.T. team. After a few days of rioting, looting, and a total breakdown of services, and with only sporadic, disjointed contact with the federal government, Amethyst and a few other decided it was time to leave, before Helena took a hit. This is around a week after that. Tired, hungry, and alone, Amethyst is at a police station, in a small town. She's looking for food, and transport. Looks like a neo-Nazi group is around . . . Originally a Special Forces trooper, she volunteered for the program, after her unit was destroyed. She's a later 'model', with better equipment made from lighter materials, and has been enhanced with an AI, and a modular parts system, allowing for a greater range of missions. No longer employed by the military, she's decided to avoid the merc route, that AB took, instead choosing to be an assistant. She loaded her AI's programming core with the necessary information, to be a lab/office assistant, bodyguard, and bed-mate. More detailed info, and a finished illo is forthcomin'. Random, heavily-armed cyborg bear. He's got all kinds of neat toys, right arm contains a twin-barreled flechette gun, he has a back-mounted, articulated arm with a laser cannon, and he's toting an M-41A pulse-rifle ( Which I screwed up). I took a lot of his design from the 'ShadowRun' novels, and some of the actual RPGs source material. I had fun designing this guy, and actually like the color job.
