    I am not religious, but regarding gays and christianity, some denominations are more accepting of it than others. The Episcopalian denomination has angered people in other denominations to different degrees because of their affirmed support of gays and lesbians and because they have ordained openly gay priests and according to wikipedia, their general convention last year called on legislatures to provide protections such as bereavement and family leave policies; and opposes any state or federal constitutional amendment that prohibits same-sex civil marriages or civil union.
