Hey! You know what's really fucking awesome? ZBrush! You know what really fucking sucks? Losing two ZBrush models in a row because they keep getting corrupted! Oh! OH! What's this? You're supposed to save multiresolution models at level 1 to prevent file corruption? Well GEE! If only that little pearl of wisdom was mentioned in the tutorial videos, and not in some obscure forum post, I wouldn't be in this position!

    Is Blender better behaved? :)

Uhm ... y'know, I can't ever recall Blender crashing on me ... I remember having to shut it down by force a couple of times during a render because I accidentally chose too high of an ambient occlusion setting or something that would've taken hours to see ... It used to take forever to cancel a render, but I think it's improved since then ... oh, and there were a couple times where it locked up because I'd used an obsolete auto-rigging tool that couldn't handle the complex mesh I'd given it to work with ... but other than that, yeah.

Blender has some mesh deformation tools similar to ZBrush's, but it really can't compete. ZBrush does one thing, and it does it well, despite some instability.

hit undo too many times and the model becomes the star tool, that and a few other endearing quirks designed to make you cry

Ha! That's EXACTLY what it did. The whole thing literally exploded, sending vertices everywhere, still dragging their attached polygons with them. I've never seen a program crash so DRAMATICALLY.

Damn unintuitive bullshit... And I'm guessing whatever you were making, I probably would have enjoyed it :)

Yep... I learnt that one myself with some of my other 3D programs.

Live and let learn... and then get Luvs.

... somehow, this seems relevant, Zee.
