Artist commentary

FIRETRUCK!!!

XD lolz

Anyway, this is my latest work, and a little different than my other pictures. I wanted to try and draw some more dynamic action pics, and this is my latest one. Personally I love how it came out (especially the foam on the axe-dog's mouth!), even though it's pretty obvious from the rest of my gallery that cartooning is not my strongest point! I hope to draw some more dynamic pictures like this in the future :)

    This has a very good level of dynamism, the fire licks flare out in a manner that echoes the truck lights well as well. I do notice the flames beneath the back left wheel look very "clipped" though.

      Crap! I see what you mean... the flames are definitely overlapping the road. I guess I might've put that fire layer above the street layer, or maybe the mistake happened while flattening the image... Hmmm.

      Thanks :) I hope to draw some more fun stuff like this too. Or at least create more detailed and dynamic artwork.

          Thank you again! I really do aspire to keep my work lasting as long as possible. I really don't want my artwork to blossom for a brief moment and then die off in an explosion of suckiness a year later... With most of the work that I actually post here or on FA (whether it's old or new)... I always like it because I always try something new in every picture, and learn from my mistakes and successes. It's a cliche' philosophy but it works! I can say without a doubt, that I can find at least one thing in all of my gallery works (from 05-07) that I still like today.
