Baeltzucoatl by *barue

Artist commentary

Wise and whimsical, Etoro is a character that I roleplay for a D&D game. She is a Baeltzucoatl, an original concept dragon inspired by the well known feathered serpent, the Quetzalcoatl.

They reside in deep redwood forests, gliding gracefully from tree to tree or rising high above the canopy into the sky where the horizon bends and the wind is strong.

And this is the breaks,
where the atmosphere unfolds
and is rendered paper-thin.
Rising, I make love to the blinding sun
with my bright and piercing stare
To make distance palpable
and nearness intangible.
