Artist commentary

This is supposed to be the cover artwork for the first volume of my still non-existent graphic novel "The Gilgamesh Complex". I chose realistic animals for the cover artworks, although the characters in the graphic novel itself are anthropomorphics.
The wolf is to represent the main character Ayaki, the winged-one in the back is Gilgamesh and that thing in front of the moon that looks like a ctenophore is the Black Star from where the bird-like enemies (Avians) descend on the planet.

This is the "Dawn Version", as you can guess there's also a "Night Version" in blue. :-)
