Artist commentary

Ohhh help us! We can't draw lion characters, that don't look like TLK lions. Because TLK lions defenitely look like real ones do!



More comic/toon-like lions are coming soon to make it more embarrassing for some people.

I love The Lion King. It's a great movie.
I also had this phase, where I took TLK characters and added different markings, hair, colors and 'accessoires'. BUT I did not conceal, that they were from TLK. I said something like: 'Hey, look! I made up a new character for TLK! Isn't he cute?' (I only drew males, you know)

Skinnyvee is drawing many lions lately and they're very original. This finally made me draw a lion after 2/3 years.

I was thinking of calling him 'Simba', 'Mufasa', 'Scar' or something like that. Just for my pleasure. But I decided to call him Narbengesicht (Scarface).

BTW I was NOT going to draw a super-duper-total-realistic lion. I don't like doing that. (The personal style disappears in the picture and I'm also too lazy to do so much work)
So spare with your critiqe.
