Artist commentary

I did an ACEO trade with Bloodhound Omega a year ago...and the card got lost in the mail. So, she let me take a whole year to make it up...so I did a full painting. I hope you like it! I don't know much about the story behind her bloodhounds...but I think that the setting may be appropriate.

I've been DIEING to do a starry sky! And after several months of trying to find a new fur method...I've found it. Tada.

An early progress shot can be seen on my livejournal.

    Oh wow, that's amazing.
Just out of curiosity, how much time does it take to create something like this?

This specifically took 1 week to work on it about 25 hours. I mean, thats how long it would take if my computer wasnt freezing and losing work 2 dozen times a day. I probably spent an extra 5 hours of lost work on this thing....

I usually take more than a week...but I really liked working on this one.

Well that does seem pretty fast for something as detailed as this though. I sometimes take up to 10 hours for one picture, spread out over days and weeks, and the results aren't even slightly comparable. Seriously, I'm fascinated by your skills.

Oh, don't worry about that. I used to take 40-50 hours on things...you just get quicker over time. Don't get impatient with it...just know that whatever amount of time is nessisary to make it come out is good is important and well spent time.
