Artist commentary

Okay, I'm proud of myself. I haven't put this kind of attention into a piece in a long time. As you can notice, I actually gave this one a full, color background. I rarely do that but I just had to. Especially with how much I like this piece. Now, I originally drew this while I was in Las Vegas with my girlfriend. We had been very busy and as such, she was REALLY tired. Now, I was tired too but I just can't sleep after 10:30. So I was up and about, surfin' the internet when I had a look over at her lying there with her stuffed piggy. I thought the moment was so precious, I would capture it using the character I designed for her, Emily.

I had finished drawing and inking the entire picture before she woke up and surprised her with it when she finally did. Like I said, I don't often draw backgrounds but I also haven't used a live model in a while either so it was a nice treat for me. I hope she likes it as well as all of you!
