Artist commentaryYes... a lot of it got cut off by scanner issues.For a while I was somewhat irritated with how things were going (mostly with school) and I just kept on getting this image in my head. So I drew it out a couple of times and each time, it didn't seem to work out like I wanted to, and by that time, I had gotten over the annoyance, so I just thought "screw it". Later my friend was perusing through my sketchbook and she came across those scribbled out sketches. She then said "Hey... I like these." And I then I thought I might as well finish them out. And THAT is the utterly uninteresting evolution of this drawing. I'm really proud of the mud speckling on Reynard's boot. Not as happy with the cool gray in the skyline, but we can't have everything, now, can we? |
