Artist commentary

"I stepped out onto the balcony and took in the morning street below. After a busy night like last night I usually find myself waking early for some reason. I used to enjoy the morning, to think about my future, now-a-days I think about my friends. Some of my friends are moving away soon and I can't help but think of how much I'm going to miss them.
One is moving away to follow his dreams, one will move away to search for something he's been looking for for his entire life.
Another friend takes help but is content being depressed and complacent, another takes the help and tries to make something of her life.
I've always lost friends, but the ones I've made this past year have shaped my life the most..."

I may be known as the eccentric blue nutter whose comments have about as much depth as a shallow pond.
But those comments are always written to make you smile, and a smile is worth more than its weight in gold to me.

The only people I can truly respect are those who are smart enough to make a choice for the better. Those who sit and wait for others to do it for them...well. I'll welcome them as friends and travel life alongside them...but I cannot cherish them. And I will let them drift away in the end.

Most everyone here that I've met on DA has been strong of spirit and willing to make a choice about what they want. Those who when in need seek help and put it to good use, and I'm glad to be that for them.
I can't respect the depression crowd though. Those who sit and sigh and wait for someone to come and comfort them and pine for attention.

If I watch you.
If I chat with you.
If I share this art we create together with you.
If I share my life with you.
...
It is because I respect you and cherish what you say and do.

I've only ever met three people I didn't respect because they didn't bother trying. And they taught me to walk away.

So thanks to everyone here for making the effort worthwhile. I can respect that.

ART STUFFS
11Hours total, freehand perspective drawing with layered texture faces. I've put together a staged pic here -> ****
Took a long time and I'm really unhappy with the BG building and the blur.
I AM however very happy with how Echo came out and am thinking of using this style of coloring alot more now. It's slower than the polygonal cellshading but quicker than a normal detail paint. Win win in my books.

yes! put our fists in the air and wave them around as we run down the street in our high optimism bout it growing (okay maybe not something so drastic, but close enough <_<)
