Artist commentary

Gift for Kitora
Part of my bath & shower encounter series.

Faolan is my favorite character on FA. Beautiful, cute, sexy, spunky. He's just awesome. :) I had to make a tribute to him! Faolan is a big source of inspiration from when I created Ramzryu, as you can see. I hope this points out their differences as well as how similar they look, since some people are starting to think that they are the same dragon. Are they related to each other? Nope, but perhaps they are from similar species of dragons.

I've been working on this one for a good month or so, doing it in short sessions. I learned much from it, especially when it comes to backgrounds. Lots of texturing from photographs, an untold number of layers, hand painting some parts, matching colors, using vector lines, coloring still life subject matter.... Whew!

    Faolan is also very sexy to me. I tried contacting Kitora but he never got back to me, would love to get a commission with that dragon and my character.
