It was a bright beautiful day at the park. Sun shining with birds fluttering from tree to tree as laughter sounded from a children playing with their parents. Starlyth though stood by a bench. The little one not even close to being one year old but able to fully walk and run with the mind of a full grown adult with how aware she was.

Midnight Star watched her daughter hang back from the other children. She was able to feel just how shy her and mikes daughter was, just how Mids herself had been around all the human children of the amazon tribe. This time though there was no Chel brave enough to come up to Starlyth to invite her to play, the the woman guessing that her wings, which were 5 feet long on each side were intimidating.

"Momma, think the others are gonna join us for that picnic?" She spoke clear and smoouth without the baby talk she used to struggle with, not fully using her telepathy to speak anymore. Smiling, Mids dipped down to hug her daughter close. "Hope so sweety. I wanna spend this pretty day with my friends and family today."

Billy stolled over the hill, Bojo in tow. The husky spotted Mids first, He smiled and nudged Bojo. "Hey kitty....look...it's mids and starlyth." Bojo looked up. though still slightly intimidated by Mids height, he smiled at her and waved. As he spotted Starlyth, he ran forward. The small cat had taken a shine to the little girl. Billy strolled up to Mids and smiled fondly at her. "Hey mids.....glad to see you."

Asteria stood nearby, under the shade of a tree. She sighed softly as a breeze blew past and she headed to where Mids stood. She stopped next tot he cubi and smiled politely at Billy. As she watched Bojo's reacion to Starlyth, she giggled a little. The cat was an adult, but acted like a child most of the time.

"Hey Bojo!" smiling wide now Starlyth spread er wings and flew up into the kitties arms, purring as she gave a nuzzle to his cheek, then hugged Billy and Asteria with the phantom touch her mother had taught her.

Chuckling at the two she nodded to Billy. "Good to see you, as well as Bojo and Asteria here." Mids pulled the husky and the vixen into a hug.

Khris was lying in the grass, enjoying the sun and the overall peacefulness of the day. It was nice not to be wandering the city streets during the day like he usually did when Masakal went scavenging for food. His ear twitched slightly at the sound of some familiar voice. The small smile that already graced his muzzle grew wider when he saw Midnight and Starlyth, and as he watched Asteria, Bojo, and Billy approach the pair. Getting up, he stretched and yawned, then dusted himself off. With a leisurely gait, he joined up with group.

"Hey everyone," he greeted cheerfully, then to Starlyth as she rested in Bojo's arms. "Hi, it's been a little while since I've last seen you. I assume you've been taking good care of your mother, eh?" He winked at her then turned his gaze to Midnight. "So what are you up to?"

Midnight Star laughed softly when Starlyth stuck her tongue out at the ferret when he looked away from her, then turned with a grin to Khris with her tail swaying gently. "We are going to have a picnic. Maybe play a little too."

"ATTACK! FLANK RIGHT!" yelled the sergeant in green as a few of his men moved right and took shots at the enemy. Artillery came screaming in throwing sand and bodies everywhere as Red pounded the sand where his little plastic green and tan army men were duking it out in the sandbox. Gah...incoming! Ka-splat! Ahhh.. Red made little voices and tossed a few of them into the air landing in a dew sand towers.

The sand pit was a large square wood box large enough to park four SUVs with room to spare. It was well maintained and placed next to one of the parks many sidewalks, with many benches for mothers to watch over their children. A few children played in and out of the sandbox but didnt dare come near Red as he had constructed an elaborate system of sand fortifications and bunkers with his army men.

Khris caught Starlyth out of the corner eye. He only chuckled and smiled as he nodded. "Sounds fun. I'm sure I can think of something to do too when it comes time to play a bit."

Midnight Star moved around the bench and summoned forth her tentacles to pick up five baskets and a few blankets she had brought in case it would become a very big picnic with everyone. Ears then twitching at hearing Red she looked where she heard his voice to see him playing in a sandbox. Using her ability over elements she made the sand rumble and crumble what he built.

"Lieutenant! They're heavily bombarding us!" Red shouted and swiped his hand across the 'battle field' destroying a few towers and sand walls burying a few tanks and plastic figures. "Sir, we have completed the mission..but at a great price.." He stuck a little paper flag in the top of the largest deteriorating sand tower and put one figure holding a pair of binoculars next to it while four of them simulated hoisting up the flag. "Indeed soldier, indeed.." Just as he finished the tower suddenly collapsed along with everything thing else on his side of the sand pit. "Awww....what tha....heck?" he censored his words near the children, "Who scrubbed the mission?" He looked up and around spotting Mids, Khris, and Starlyth thinking the sudden collapse was too concidential.

Bojo giggled at Starlyth's nuzzle. he held her in his arms, smiling happily. He felt better around her.

Billy smiled as Mids hugged him and Asteria. He watched as she used her tenticles to pick up the baskets.

Asteria smiled at mids and walked up to Bojo. she petted him on the head as well as little Starlyth.

Sutekh strolled casually up to where the other were situated. He had foregone wearing his coat and robes due to the weather, and was instead clad in black jeans and a black short-sleeve button-down shirt. From each paw dangled a four-pack of 8oz. Red Bull cans. He knelt down, set the packs down on the grass, pulled one can from its cardboard backing, and popped it open. The salawa smiled faintly at the sound, stood to his full height, and took a slow sip from the can.

"Ah, yes," he half-whispered, half-closing his eyes. "So, considering I managed to drag myself out here on time, how's everyone doing?"

Khris didn't even try to hold back his laugh as he watched Red looked over at him. He held up his paws. "That wasn't me," he said with a grin. "Looked like you were having some fun there though."

He was about to approach Red when he saw someone that he had never really talked to standing by Bojo and Starlyth. It hadn't occurred to him then, but she was indeed quite attractive. There was something different about her as well, and seeing her fangs gave him a slight suspicion as to what she was. Heading to them, he introduced himself to Asteria. "Hello," said the ferret, giving a slight bow and holding out his paw. "I'm Khris Kazeras, who are you?"

Jogging slowly through the park, her messenger bag slung over one shoulder, Siouxie made it to the top of the hill without panting. She grinned and went straight to Domi to hug her.

"Hello gorgeous... beautiful day, isn't it?"

As she stepped away from the liangel, she dropped her bag slowly to the floor as not to disturb the fruit salad she'd brought.

Walkiing slowly to Bojo, she nuzzled the cat's head, kissing the top of his head.

"Hello, kitty..." she purred, smiling softly and kissing Starlyth's furred cheek. 'You too, pretty little one.'

SHe kissed ASteria's cheek as well, having formed a sort of bond with her not long after she'd joined Furryville, before she'd met everyone else.

"Hey Asteria hon... Hey Khris!" she kissed him too, just for the hell of it.

Red's tower collapsing made her laugh, and she held up her paws in innocence.

"This time, it wasn't me either!"

She ruffled Starlyth's beautiful red hair, and stepped back, looking around the park. It was so beautiful... so peaceful.

Then again, with Red there, could anything be called peaceful?

"I'm good Su." Mids answered while Starlyth gave a little thumbs up at him before purring at all the little pets to the head she was getting. She then gave a nuzzle to Bojo's cheek. "Eat first or play, kitty?"

Grinning after the hug from Sioux and everyone telling Red they didn't tumble his sand fun, Midnight Star laughed and raised her hand. "Guilty!"

Not too long after all the events occured, 3 figures strolled over the nearby hill in the park, two male, one female. Talen had heard about the day in the park Midnight had wanted to spend with her family and friends, and knew it was a good opportunity to hang out with all of those whom he had known. "Were here!" Talen yelled, both Talen and Talan wearing simple clothes, blue jeans fitted with a black shirt with a sweatshirt underneath, and Suzuna wearing a purple dress to match her hair as they strolled over. "Thanks for inviting us, it felt a bit odd since we havent been here that long." Talan said scratching the back of his head nervously. Suzuna noddled in agreement, "Yeah, although it will be fun!" she said cheerfully.

Smiling at seeing both brothers Suzuna come, she moved over to the three to pull them into a big warm hug with arms and wings, then kissed all three on the lips with a gentle purr. "I am very glad you three came."

The three of them jumped a bit, all of them tending to be similar in that way when hugged or kissed. Talen returned the kiss happily, Talan returning it softly though he knew Talen was her love, and Suzuna just simply blushed at it, going silent for a moment. "Of course, we had to show up for a day like this!" Talen said happily, Talan nodding in response "Yup, we cant turn down a day like this to meet everyone." Suzuna nodded, looking down as the blush remained on her cheeks, for some reason she had always blushed when anyone kissed her, but she felt strange when Midnight kissed her.

Bojo thought for a moment, then grinned down at the little girl. "Let play.......your pick of game."

Billy smiled warmly at everyone. He Was glad to meet everyone. He looked as more friends arrived and his smile broadened. He headed up to Su and shook his paw. "nice to see you again friend."

As Asteria accepted the affection from Siouxie, she answered Khris. "I'm Asteria. Pleasure to meet you Khris. i remember seeing you before.......the will am i right?" She said.

there was a flutter of wings, and a shower of soft pink feathers fell around Mids. reaper landed next to her and smiled up at the Cubi. "Hello!"

Midnight Star giggled at the blushing of Suzuna before her attention was drawn from her by the pink feathers, soon followed by Reaper, and she pulled the woman into a hug with a warm smile. "Hello."

Starlyth grinned at Bojo as she beeped his nose gently. "How about tag. Your it!" with childlike leather the girl flew from the kitty's arms and took a running start where Red was.

Khris nodded. "Yes, I didn't get a chance to introduce myself then, of course. But I'm glad I finally have the chance to introduce myself to an attractive woman." The ferret flashed her what he hoped was a charming smile. "If you don't mind me asking Asteria, what are you? I can see that you have fangs, but I'm not sure what that makes you."

The vixen giggled lighlty. "I am a vampire.....but not the usual kind. and don't worry...i don't bite......often." she said with a light smile. then she leaned into his ear, "But you can find out some other time how much i bite, if you want."

Bojo took off after starlyth. he could barely keep up with her. "no fair....no fair!!you're faster than me. come on little one.......slow up a little.....hehehe"

Khris chuckled. "I can tell, you're out in daylight." His eyes widened and his smile stretched to a grin as she spoke into his ear. "I won't say no to that," he said so only she could here. "Especially not when a pretty vampire like you is offering. I'll look you up some other time then."

"Likewise," Su said with a slight chuckle. "So, anything newsworthy come up since the last?"

Talen moved over, taking a seat near the group, Talen followed close behind and sat not too far, Suzuna taking a seat next to him as they felt a sudden breeze blow by them. "Its been quite awhile since weve had a peaceful moment like this eh?" Talan said, bringing a soft laugh from Talen and Suzuna. "That it has, many years..." Suzuna said looking at the two of them.

Billy shook his head a and spoke. "No...nothing new."

Bojo used Red's back as a springboard to jump after Starlyth. Only to miss her and end up head first into the sand.

Asteria smiled and giggled lightly at the ferret, giving him a soft kiss on the cheek. the she hugged Siouxie warmly. "How ya doing love?"

Reaper blushed a little at her feathers falling out. She looked at the feathers and picked a few up. "I guess i still need to let them heal a little more before i go flying again."

"Eh, well," Sutekh said with a shrug. "That's just as well. Say, what do you...aw, are you serious?!"

A relatively short, somewhat odd-looking fur slowly walked up to where Su and Billy were standing. He stopped purposefully in his tracks, and slowly rotated his head back on its axis to stare up at the tall salawa and enormous husky.

"Well, don't I feel outclassed," he said breathlessly, and turned to Su specifically. He withdrew a paw from behind his back, holding a small metal hip flask.

"You forgot this. Yes, I read your note. But since when do I actually listen to you?"

Sutekh stared hard into the young hybrid's gray eyes.

"Aaron," he said slowly. "There's a reason I left that note, and that," he nodded to the hip flask, "on the counter. There's a reason I left my headdress, sword, robes, sidearm, cigarettes, lighter, and phone, too. But, as usual, you let your common sense get in the way. I've told you before, and I'll tell you again: there is a method to my madness. A very complicated, drawn out method, which is impossible for anyone else to understand. Including you, ridiculously intelligent though you are."

He paused, reached up, and scratched his head.

"Eh, I don't care anymore. Just try to keep the antics to a minimum. We're in mixed company."

Aaron smirked, and then quickly became straight-faced at the look Su gave him. The hybrid turned and gazed up at Billy.

"I thiiiink I've seen you before. Hm. I'm Aaron...and what name would an excessively muscled individual such as yourself bear?"

Siouxie stepped back as Bojo raced off after Starlyth, and watched Asteria chatting with Khris. Slowly wandering up to Billy, she stodd behind the big Husky and surveyed the park, not noticing when her tail brushed his.

Billy looked down at the hybrid. "Well sir, my name is BIL-ly" he turned at the outch to his tail, looking down at Siouxie. he ruffled her hair a little and pulled her into a soft hug. "Well hello! how you young un?" he asked her. he looked at the hybrid and held out his paw in an offer to shake paws.

Smiling widely from the soft kiss Asteria had given him, he caught sight of Bojo landing head first into sand. He laughed a bit to himself and shook his head in amazement at the feline's luck. Looking around, he saw a couple others he had never met, or in fact never even seen, before. He had seen Talen before, but he had never seen the other two by him.

"Hi," he greeted. He held out his paw to Talen. "How are you? We've never really had the chance to talk before, have we?" Then briefly to Talan and Suzuna. "Hi, my name is Khris Kazeras. You must be new in town. I've never seen you around here."

Aaron extended his minuscule right paw and shook the husky's.

"Nice to meet you."

He turned to Su.

"So, ah...what exactly is the purpose of this? I just went to where you said you'd be, I've no clue as to what you're doing here. Or what I'm doing here. I...think I'll have a Red Bull."

"NO!" Su barked, and put a massive paw on Aaron's shoulder. "My...Red...Bull...and the others can have ONE EACH if they ask nicely. You're still being punished for breaking into my house. Savvy?"

Aaron hung his head, nodded sadly, and stood firm.

"Good," said Su. "Now, who's up for some of this?"

He produced a fist-sized cloth thread-bound ball from one of his jeans' cargo pockets. He juggled it one-pawed, a smile slowly creeping across his face.

Red slowly got up and blinked at the sudden crowd that formed in the park near Mids. Many new faces and many old ones. "We all got to stop meeting like this.." he sighed and had a brain storm, instantly began slowly learching towards the group dragging his left foot. Maaaw....MAAAWW... he moaned loud and deep carving a path through the group to Mids. He stopped directly in front of her and looked around slowly. "If I was a zombie you'd all be dead. Hahaha!" he laughed as he saw the look on everyones faces, Kodak moment. Well at least let my commander have some R&R. You owe it to him Mids...you owe him. Red stuck the green plastic soldier in between Mid's breasts where it sat snug and comfortable.

After that awkward moment, Red turned to the furs he hadnt seen before and smiled creepily. "Pay your taxes now. Oh, wrong speech. Names Red...and if your here to collect my taxes...then the names John Bringer." He smiled and winked playfully.

Grinning after the hug from Sioux and everyone telling Red they didn't tumble his sand fun, Midnight Star laughed and raised her hand. "Guilty!"

Pulling the plastic man from her breats with a grin, she grabbed Red in a headlock to noogie him. "Quit creeping the new ones out."

"come on Bojo! Catch me!" Starlyth managed to get out of the kitties reach as she giggled.

Bojo got back up and ran after Starlyth. he was intent on catching her. "I'll....catch you........as soon as i figure out how!"

Reaper was looking through her bag, and brought out something for Starlyth. She showed it to Mids. "I made this for Starlyth......from my own feathers." It was a tiny doll that looked like her.....slightly. It was slightly misshae and sewing together instead of being all one piece. "I'm not as good as Angel at making these," she whispered, slightly embarassed that she couldn't get it right.

Billy watched to the side as Bojo tried to catch Starlyth. He shook his head, the poor kitty would never catch the child.

Asteria smiled and watched Bojo chasing Starlyth. She stood still, waiting until Starlyth got close. then she scooped up the little one and tickled her tummy. "I got ya!"

"Aww Reaper." Midnight Star thanked nked the pink winged woman and gave her a kiss to cheeks and lips, smiling affectionately at her. "I am sure she will love it." She then laughed as her daughter was caught by Asteria. "Foiled again, sweety?" Starlyth just responded with a pout.

But im noooot! Well...your still with me after our....introduction? Red said as he got noogied willingly as it was time for one anyway. At least it wasnt a trout... he thought and let it come and go.

Asteria gave Starlyth a hug and a smooch on the cheek. Thens he set the little one down just as Bojo managed to stubble over. He was not in shape. He fell over at the little one's feet, looking up at her. "YOu have so much energy.....where do you get it?"

Purring, Starlyth returned a hug before Asteria sat her down, and she grinned big at the big kitty as her tail swayed behind her. "The exuberence of youth, plus the stamina of a succubus and a dragon."

Siouxie nuzzled Billy and yelped when he pulled her into a hug.

"Young 'un?" she laughed.

Watching everyone, she looked curiously at the ball in Sutekhs paw.

"What's that, Su? Can we play catch?? Please?" she laughed.

Suddenly she had a great idea.

'Hey Reaper...'

She sent the wolfess an image of jumping on the guy's back and playing jousting, something she'd seen in a comic drawn by one of her favourite artists.

Beth, a young white cat with black hair, burst into a room on the back of a male stripper, yelling 'Stripper Joust!' Looking up from the computer, Siouxie laughed.

Reaper clapped a paw over her muzzle, trying not to bust out laughing.

Bojo sighed softly and got up on his feet. He smiled down at Starlyth, and reached into his hip bag. he brought out a ball of string Khris had given him. "Want to see me do some stuff with this?" he asked as he started to make cat's craddles and a Jacob's ladder at the same time.

Sutekh's smile broadened.

"Catch is the idea. You've got another choice to make, though. You see, when I was but a pup, the other young salawas...and jackals, and hyenas, and baboons, and crocodiles...would soak one of these in lighter fluid, set it afire, and toss it back and forth. It's quite literally a game of 'hot potato.' No worries, it's pretty harmless...worst that ever happened was someone burned a paw. That's the neat thing about this...the flame doesn't transfer. Anyway. Your choice, lit or unlit?"

Khris wandered over to where Bojo was entertaining Starlyth with some old tricks with the string he had given him. He hadn't seen them in ages and this amusement brought a smile to his face. Chuckling, he laid a paw on the feline's shoulder and looked down at Starlyth. "I might know any tricks, but I, or Masakal I shoud say, can give you a ride on our back. We can go pretty fast and jump over some tall things too. How does that sound?"

"JOUSTING TIME!!!" she cried happily. Scrambling up onto his shoulders, she reached for the tree and pulled off a half broken, fully dead branch.

"Hehe... double prong.... double hits.... kekeke... this'll be funny, Billy, come on, Play!"

She'd slipped her legs under his arms so she didn't fall, and kissed the top of his head softly.

"Play!"
