Artist commentary

Also titled "I can has a nut?"

This species-nonspecific squirrel was done for my friend Mystee.
Come to think of it, the gender is rather ambiguous as well.

Nice textures-not just on the fur, but the tree too.

If you don't mind my asking, how do you do these woodblock paintings?
Paint first, then cut grooves with a table saw?

      Thanks for the compliment!

I buy the boards with the grooves already cut, to save time. Although if I had to make the grooves myself, I'd always do the cutting first (before painting), using a Router, not a saw.

Nice job on the fur tones and I like dainty paws and big bright eyes
