Artist commentary

Inspired by, and named after, a song by Bal-Sagoth this was a bit of a challenge I've made of myself to make a furry drawing with a full background... which is not easy this is a total of 2-3 days worth of work!

As you can see the main subject and center-point of the drawing is my buddy Domafox , though with a slightly different costume (but keeping with his original colors), and riding Savaaha as his noble zorse. This is all part of a visual triangle that leads to the hooded figure to the left, and I'll let you figure out for yourself who that is.

Throughout the entire piece I've mostly limited myself to a palatte of indigo, brown, dark green, deco blue, and black. The saturation of cool colors is supposed to leave a feeling of gloom and dread. Lastly, if you look closely, you might notice a rib with writing on it and a tiny cow's skull hanging from the tree. Both are actual decorative pieces I have in my room.
