Artist commentary

Duskin in early 1700s clothing again - although he came out a tad too effeminate here. He's supposed to be pretty, but not necessarily feminine. :P

Pencil sketch colored in Painter IX. Background created by layering photos from free stock photography sites.

This gets me thinking. I have a story set in the very early 1700's. at the moment the action is still in north Africa, but it will move to Spain c1712. I need to start thinking how the charictors will dress.

    Nice work

It's the stockings and how you have his toe pointed. Gives a feminine flow. Nevertheless, it is delightful.
Love in any language, straight from the heart, pulls us all together, never apart. And once we learn to speak it, all the world will hear love in any language, fluently spoken here.

I blame the fluffy skunk tail. It just doesn't help matters!

Well if you think about it, during those times - even the males looked real feminate |D; with all that damn powder and...wigs! xD

I like how the pose is, very proper - since they stand like that in most of all the late 17th Century paintings xD he seems like a kinda dude that will kiss my hand -'w'- teehee oh my!

I read that men's clothing was very much inspired by women's clothing during that time period, too...XD
